Classical Ballet |
Classical Ballet is the best foundation to all aspects of the performing arts, teaching posture, discipline and confidence. Classes also promote creativity, teamwork co-operation and musical appreciation. Classical ballet is a demanding art form that maintains high levels of mental and physical fitness whilst encouraging technical proficiency.
Ballet is a perfect introduction to this exquisite art form for Baby Ballerinas who love floating like fairies or Danseurs who want to fly like "Superman".
Elevation School Of Performing Arts students have the opportunity to undertake assessments in the A.D.A.P syllabus (see information and policies section for further information) and have the opportunity to attend excursions to many exciting ballet events such as performances by, or classes with the Australian Ballet.

Hip-Hop |
Hip-Hop was originally a street-style of dance from the Bronx in New York. It is an urban, free, funky and soulful expression of movement that is constantly evolving and used in music videos by artists such as Chris Brown, Usher, Neyo and Rhianna. Students will learn cutting edge choreography in a variety of styles to RnB and Hip-Hop music

Contemporary |
Contemporary classes are designed to teach modern dance through a progression of physical and creative skills, choreography, and improvisation. Simultaneously students progress into an understanding of technique, creativity, musicality, self-growth and artistry. Contemporary is a modern dance style that is lyrical and flowing but not as structured as classical ballet and is seen on the popular show "So You Think You Can Dance".

Jazz |
Jazz is a high-energy dance style that encourages fitness, flexibility and musical rhythm. Jazz is an exciting, upbeat, fun, fast-paced form of dance and exercise that is choreographed to the latest hip-hop and pop music. Learn to dance just like in your favourite music video clips whilst gaining confidence from participating in optional performance opportunities. Our Junior jazz program is a perfect introduction to dance for "Hi-Five" or "Wiggles" fans and encourages fitness and musicality in a fun environment.

Tap |
Tap students develop their sense of rhythm, coordination, sound and gross motor skills. Combination of old and modern dance, Tap is often used in musical theatre. Tap is a perfect style for those aspiring to be the next Fred Astaire, Billy Elliott or part of the Tap Dog's crew. Students will master fast tap, slow tap and waltz styles whilst having fun and the opportunity to make as much noise as they like.

Mini-Movers |
Mini movers is a perfect introduction to dance. Exercises have been developed with early childhood professionals and encourage early development of essential skills such as hand eye co-ordination through the use of bubbles. A number of props are used throughout the class to help teach the children about musical rhythm and tempo, ensuring a fun and magical atmosphere. The classes are an introduction to dance, with ballet, jazz and tap being covered. Mini movers students learn anatomy, stretching and safe dance skills all in a fun and entertaining environment.

Singing |
Junior/Senior Vocal Ensemble and Private Lessons:
Find your most natural and powerful voice by learning techniques for effective breathing, tone quality, and ear training. Students will begin to think like a singer by learning how to integrate thought, muscle control, and the interpretation of lyrics.
Senior students continue to develop their voice by exploring and practicing skills for effective breathing, tone quality, muscle control, ear training, and musical interpretation. Singing students learn confidence and stage presence in a fun and nurturing environment.
Singing lessons ensure our senior dance students match and in many cases exceed industry expectations by being such well-rounded performers and broadens their career prospects to include musical theatre.
