The Australian Dance Assessment Program (ADAP) is structured on sound technical principals, and is recognised universally, being of the highest standard of its kind and is VET accredited.
By studying the ADAP syllabus students can go on to study for their Certificate IV in Dance Teaching with Australian Dance Vision (ADV). It is currently the only VET accreditation recognised by the Australian Government in Dance Teaching, giving students the opportunity to add a dance-teaching career to their future prospects.
ADAP offers a more holistic approach to dance; one that brings dance in line with educational standards and gives students the opportunity of including dance as a school curriculum subject.
Under the A.D.A.P system children can enjoy dance whilst learning theory, history, musicality, anatomy, mime, choreography and improvisation.
A.D.A.P also recognises that if the student wishes to be assessed (optional at our school) they may not be at their best on the actual assessment day. As such, each lesson the student is scaled, and these marks are taken into consideration when a final assessment mark is awarded. |

| Accounts are issued on the second day of each term. Discounts are offered for families with two or more siblings enrolled in the school. Please note all fees must be paid within two weeks of receiving the account, or students will not be able to participate in class. If this does not suit, arrangements can be made by prior agreement . No reduction can be made for missed classes, however the student may participate in any other class in lieu as a substitute. |
Parents are invited to attend class on the last day of each month to assess their child’s progress. Other than this, it is our experience that children are more focused, try harder and are more conscientious when parents do not attend. If however there is a special occasion, such as a relative or friend in town, please inform your teacher and seats will be arranged. The exception is our mini movers class where students are still young and gain confidence in having a parent or guardian present. |
