Elevation School Of Performing Arts principal Mrs Karen Knight, has extensive industry experience including performing with Ballet d'Action and cheerleading for the American "Denver Broncos" Grid Iron team. Mrs Karen Knight has also performed at venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Entertainment Centre and has also performed as part of the contemporary dance festival "Bodies". Mrs Karen Knight has not only herself undertaken the entire A.D.A.P syllabus including Major Three but has also undertaken the challenging H.S.C in Classical Ballet. Mrs Knight is also a Sydney University qualified Nuclear Medicine Scientist, ensuring correct technique is taught from a physiological point of view. |

Elevation School Of Performing Arts Tap and Hip-Hop teacher, Miss Maria has lived her life in the performing arts spotlight beginning at the age of five and has since gone on to see her become a member of the Hypnotix dance crew. Miss Maria has attained the class of Honours M.B.A.L syllabus tap, jazz and ballet, and received training in Hip-Hop SDC. Miss Maria has also achieved a Certificate Three in Entertainment Industry, with her performance experience ranging from charity functions, dance expos, eisteddfod competitions, concert backup and front act for artists such as Pilta Corales and Marco Sison Champions |

Miss Sam |

Miss Samantha has always loved to dance, beginning with ballet at age 5, and broadening into contemporary ballet, contemporary and jazz. She
has completed the entire ADAP syllabus, including Classical Major 3, receiving Honours with Distinction at the age of 15. She has also
received Honours in all Cecchetti exams, placing multiple times in the
Cecchetti Medal Awards. Throughout her high school life, she was a
member of the Schools Spectacular Ballet Company. She has performed
at venues including the Sydney Opera House and the Entertainment
Centre.
Miss Samantha's choreographed works were shortlisted in the NSW State
Dance Festival. She has been invited to choreograph for multiple
events, particularly with her former high school's dance group, with
whom she still holds close ties. She is also teaching dance at the
University of Sydney, and has been invited to teach masterclasses at
several other schools. She holds a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching
and Management.
During a recent summer overseas, she took class with the Shanghai
Ballet Academy's senior students, and was invited to perform at
Shanghai International Studies University end of year spectacular.

Miss Christina |

Miss Christina White has been dancing since a young age and is herself a graduate of Elevation School Of Performing Arts. She has studied and excelled in many styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, singing and hip hop. Christina has showcased her talents as part of the Sydney West Dance festival for three years and has also performed as part of the nationally televised Schools Spectacular for a total of six years. She received 1st Place in Dance in her senior years at school and was nominated for the prestigious board of studies showcase, for outstanding HSC talent, 'Callback'. She was also awarded the Commitment to Performing Arts in 2010. Chrisitina was also privileged to work at Wicked The Musical whilst in Sydney and has been the lead in a number of local musicals including 42nd Street, Suesical the Musical and Leader of the Pack. Christina has taught both as a substitute teacher for Elevation and for Excelsior Public School's OOSH dance program. Elevation School Of Performing Arts is very lucky to welcome her to our teaching staff in 2011.

Mr Miko |

Miko Enriquez is currently an enrolled student of Elevation school of performing arts. He has been dancing since the age of 5 in Hip hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom and Latin completing exams in several of them and receiving honors. He has participated in numerous eisteddfods, concerts, competitions and other events for lead artists. Miko has come from a family of dancers, having both his parents being ballroom & latin dancers and a sister Bea Maria Enriquez also a dance teacher at Elevation School Of Performing Arts. Miko Enriquez joins the teaching staff in 2011 specializing in teaching Hip hop and a student in other genres of dance. |
